Zoom, Pan and Views management

This first part of the guide helps to learn how to quickly pan and zoom, that is moving on the working area .

Zoom

The Zoom commands are used to magnify the objects displayed in the working window.
The displayed area is often called View.
It is possible to magnify or shrink the current View using the GUI_ZOOMIN, GUI_ZOOMOUT, GUI_ZOOMWIN commands, but it is often quicker using the appropriate mouse functions:

• Rotate the mouse wheel up: the current view, centered on the cursor, will be magnified.
• Rotate the mouse wheel down: the current view, centered on the cursor, will be shrank.

Pan

The Pan commands enable to shift the current view on the drawing.
It is possible to use one of the following methods:

• Click on an area of the drawing with the mouse wheel and drag it. Then stop near the window's frame and the shifting action will automatically continue.
• Click on an EMPTY area of the drawing with the left mouse button and drag it. Then stop near the window's frame and the shifting action will automatically continue.
• Rotate the mouse wheel holding the Shift key to move vertically.
• Rotate the mouse wheel holding the Ctrl key to move horizontally.
• Use the shift bars as in normal Windows applications.
