How to modify the properties of a layer

It is possible to modify the name and related properties of a layer, as its color and linetype, and also re-assign its objects to an other layer.

Since every element of a drawing is associated to a layer, it will probably happen, during the planning and creation of the drawing, that objects assigned to a level will require some modification or the combination of the visible layers will need to be changed.

Re-assigning an object to a different layer may be useful if the object was created on the wrong layer or if one decides to re-organize the layers. Unless the color, the type of line or other properties of an object were purposely set, the object in question will acquire the properties of the new level to which it is assigned.

It is possible to modify all layer properties in the layer property Manager and in Layer control in the Format toolbar. Click on the corresponding icons to modify the settings. Note: it is ONLY possible to modify names and colors of the layers using the layer property Manager (not the layer Control).
