How to align two objects  

1. Click on the menu Modify Align
2. Select the objects to be aligned.
3. Specify the first source point and the first destination point.
4. Specify the second source point and the second destination point.
5. Specify whether to scale the objects to the points of alignment.

   The objects are aligned, thus moved and rotated into position and then scaled. The first destination point is the base point of the scale, the distance between the first and second source points is the reference length; the distance between the first and second destination points is the new reference length.
