Advanced Cutting Wizard: selected parts for Cutting

This wizard includes 3 pages:

• Selected parts for Cutting - (the actual page) you can set here the properties of the Part to cut
• Nesting of the Parts in the Foam Block(s) - you apply the Nesting operation
• Cutting path creation - you create the Cutting path and export it

Using this feature you can Cut many letters or not Tapered parts, modifying for each of them the number of parts to cut, the Scale, the orientation angle and the name. You apply then the Nesting operation to place them in one or more foam blocks. Finally you create the Cutting path for each block and you export it.

You can access this feature:

• Clicking the 'Advanced Cutting ' button in the Cut a text dialog 
• Clicking the 'Cut Nested Parts' button in the  Startup dialog 
• Using the menu 'Cut - Advanced Foam cutting of selected Parts (with Nesting) ' in the Cad section of devFoam

The following dialog will appear:

In the left side of the page you can see the List of the selected Parts, and their Properties. Just below the controls to set for each of them:

• The number of copies you want to cut, default value = 1
• The Scale, default value = 1.0
• An optional rotation angle, default value = 0.0 degrees
• The name, used then to optionally label the Parts

You can set the first 3 values for all the Parts using the supplied buttons.

In the right side you can see the preview of the Part selected in the list

When you finished to set the right values press the Next button to go to Nesting of the Parts in the Foam Block(s) page

More info about the picture in this dialog:

• You can Zoom In/Out using the mouse wheel
• Clicking a point inside the dialog you go in 'Distance' mode. When you move the mouse the distance and angle from the clicked point are displayed in the upper/left side. Clicking again a point the Distance mode will exit
• Clicking the right mouse button a contextual menu will be displayed, showing some more features.
