How to combine regions by union  

1. Click on the menu Modify  Regions boolean operations... Union
2. Select one region for the union.
3. Select an other region.

   It is possible to select the regions (to be united) in any order.

4. Continue to select regions or press ENTER to end the command.

   The command converts the selected regions to a new combined region.
