The Smart Polar Snap is an innovative technology which automatically displays the most frequently used polar directions within a current context.
This limits the mouse movement, capturing the cursor (in a magnetic way) according to the ongoing operation, of the object to be modified or inserted and of the selected objects
 The
Smart Polar Snap reacts in different ways recognizing over 450 different situations
 and suggesting possible polar snaps
Once
a line is highlighted, the tooltip (if enabled) shows the linetype and the origin
is shown by a small square marker (blue by default)
  Using
the Smart Polar Snap, is consequently possible to proceed quicker when inserting
or modifying objects, because it is not any longer necessary to turn on/off the various
 snap types.
For
example, while marking a new line the first point of which is on a curved element
(e.g. arc, circle, spline etc.), the polars for the tangent and the orthogonal to
 the curve are immediately displayed.
The
same happens when inserting a polyline.
When shifting a vertex, the polars to align it with other vertices close to it are displayed
This option is extremely useful in such and other situations.
The
easiest way to do so is to use the "SMART" button on the lower fixed tool bar of
 the application
