Create a tapered 'A' char and find it in the Part library
In this video you can see how to create a tapered 'A' char in a very simple way.
The basics steps are:

Set the Actual text style to the font and size you like.
Create a text element with the A char
Explode it to Regions
Select the 'A' Region
Use the menu '3D Parts - Create a new 3D Part'
Now you see the same shape both for left and right face. Modify the Scale of one face
Set the desired face distance
Verify the 3D part with the Preview

Save the 3D part. Exit.
Use the menu 'Cut - Cut/Browse 3D parts' to locate the 'A' char. Now you can select and cut it
